The Irish ProShare Association has been forced to postpone this year’s Employee Share Ownership Day (ESOD20) conference due to the outbreak of the coronavirus Covid-19.

ESOD20, which was due to take place on 28th May in Dublin, is the highlight of the employee share ownership calendar in Ireland and everyone at IPSA understands that the decision to postpone the event will come as a significant disappointment to our members.

Nonetheless, Covid-19 is having a major societal impact and preventing the spread of the virus is a global public health priority of which we should all be cognisant and supportive.

It is for this reason that IPSA has taken the decision to postpone all face-to-face events for the next few months. This means that the annual IPSA Awards, which were to have taken place over lunch following ESOD20, have also been postponed.

Once there is more certainly over Covid-19, we will seek to reschedule ESOD20 and the annual IPSA Awards for a date in the autumn. We will update you when we have more information.

In the meantime, IPSA will continue to advocate on behalf of our members and foster increased awareness of employee financial involvement and ownership in Ireland.
