Employee Share Ownership Day 2024 provided a platform for Ireland’s share plan community to explore the theme Shifting Sands: Innovation and Disruption in the Share Plan Sector.
A great line-up of speakers provided insight into current and future trends across the industry’s landscape.
Paul Rice, from Computershare Ireland, confirmed the return of SAYE, the Revenue-approved all-employee share plan. This follows the decision from AIB to become a savings carrier for SAYE. Paul said there is already significant interest from many companies.
Another ESOD24 highlight was when Deborah McMahon and Barry Lennon told the story of how Wolfgang Digital, Ireland’s largest independent digital marketing agency, transitioned to employee ownership using an Employee Ownership Trust.
